‘Le Premier Jour’ is an ongoing project that started and finished in 2020, documenting the urge for escape, the unsuccessful attempts, and finally the compromise with life the way it’s supposed to happen. The series is deeply influenced by C. P. Cavafy’s poem ‘The Windows’ (1903).
